About Foolish Fairy
Well hi there being nosey are we? Yeah me too usually! But it's safe to say I know way too much about myself already so here's what I've learn't so far...
I'm Holly a printmaker / artist in my spare time living in York, England. I was first introduced to printmaking by my secondary school art teacher. After that very first peel reveal I was in love and ever since printmaking has become a passion of mine.
Back in 2012 I took a Foundation Art & Design course at York College specialising in textile design. During this course I furthered both my knowledge and experience in printing, I think it's safe to say I practically lived in the print room for a whole year! Not only did I learn how to screen print, but as part of the course we got the chance to be part of the Deborah Bowness 2013 Wallpaper trail Exhibition around York. I was lucky enough to have my design showcased in the Leeman Road padestrian tunnel near the National Railway Museum.
At the moment I'm only working with lino printing but my goal is to expand into screen printing too. When I'm not printing or designing prints I like to use an array of different mediums, learning new art / craft skills is something I find exciting & keeps me feeling continually inspired.
